Travel A MARTA train (metro Atlanta 's public transportation) runs from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL) past the Georgia Tech campus. It is a convenient alternative to renting a car (especially since parking is rather limited on campus). From the MARTA stations, you may go to the both hotels by walking (5-15 minutes), riding a campus shuttle, or hiring a taxi.
Shuttle service from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport to the hotel is also available. The Atlanta Link picks up at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center at :15 and :45 past the hour, every hour from 6:00 am – 1:00 am, 7 days a week. All service after 7:00 pm requires advance reservations. Reservations can be made for pick up or drop off at the Holiday Inn Express. For information, tickets, prices, or reservations please click here.
The Workshop location, the Manufacturing Research Center (MARC) Building, is a 10-15 minute walk from both hotels. The MARC Building is located at: 813 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30332-0560.
Georgia Tech's complimentary shuttle, the Tech Trolley, provides guests transportation arriving and departing from the Midtown MARTA transit station, the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, and MARC. The Tech Trolley will run 5:45 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at 4 minute intervals, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. For a map of the shuttle's locations and real-time arrival information, click here. If you have a car at the hotel, it is better to leave it there and take a shuttle, as available guest parking places are limited and generally not much closer to MARC.
